Generation One

1. HENRY¹ UPSHALL was born circa 1841 at Newfoundland. He married Catherine Dicks. He died on 27 May 1891 at Harbor Buffett, Newfoundland; La Grippe; interred Harbor Buffett.
Children of Henry¹ Upshall and Catherine Dicks were as follows:

i. FLORENCE² was born in Mar 1870 at Newfoundland. She married John McDonald, son of James McDonald and Maria Fowler, on 29 May 1899 at Cambridge.
She lived in 1899 at 55 Oak St., Cambridge, Massachusetts. She lived on 8 Jun 1900 at 73 Webster Ave, Cambridge.

2. ii. ELIZABETH was born in 1872 at St. John's, Newfoundland. She married Nathaniel James Tremills, son of Ralph Tremills and Lucilla Anne (--?--), on 21 Nov 1894 at Cambridge, MA.

3. iii. FREDERICK was born in 1879 at Harbor Buffet, Newfoundland, Canada. He married Elizabeth Daly, daughter of Edward Dealy and Mary Elizabeth Rynault, on 16 Nov 1912 at Boston, MA. He married Margaret A. Shave, daughter of George Alfred Shave and Melinda Kurley, on 8 Sep 1919 at Boston, MA.

iv. PETER L was born in Apr 1885 at Flat Island, Newfoundland. He married an unknown person at 12 Hamlin St., Cambridge, MA. He died on 7 Mar 1913 at Cullis Consumptive Home, Boston, MA, at age 27.
He was a brakeman at Boston Elevated Railroad.

2. ELIZABETH² UPSHALL (Henry¹) was born in 1872 at St. John's, Newfoundland. She married Nathaniel James Tremills, son of Ralph Tremills and Lucilla Anne (--?--), on 21 Nov 1894 at Cambridge, MA.
Her married name was Terrills. She was also known as Chafe.

i. RALPH³ was born in 1896.
He was also known as CHAFE.

ii. (--?--) was born on 6 Feb 1899 at 42 Circuit St., Boston. He died on 7 Feb 1899 at Boston; premature birth.

iii. ERNEST HENRY was born on 13 Jan 1900 at 51 Alpine St., Boston.

iv. JAMES was born on 30 Sep 1901 at 54 Alpine St., Boston.

v. WARREN BANNERMAN was born on 14 Apr 1904 at 54 Alpine St., Boston.

3. FREDERICK² UPSHALL (Henry¹) was born in 1879 at Harbor Buffet, Newfoundland, Canada. He married Elizabeth Daly, daughter of Edward Dealy and Mary Elizabeth Rynault, on 16 Nov 1912 at Boston, MA. Marriage banns for he and Margaret A. Shave were published on 2 Sep 1919. He married Margaret A. Shave, daughter of George Alfred Shave and Melinda Kurley, on 8 Sep 1919 at Boston, MA.
He was a fisherman. He immigrated in 1896. He was naturalized in 1902. He lived in 1920 at 24 Laurel Street, Roxbury, Massachusetts. He was a fishing trawler captain in 1920. He lived in 1930 at 32 Hensley Street, Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.

4. FLORENCE ELIZABETH³ UPSHALL (Frederick², Henry¹) was born on 27 Jan 1914 at Boston, MA. She married George Wyman Ellis, son of George Ellis and Lillian Ethel Rayner, on 4 Aug 1933 at Boston by a justice of peace. She died on 13 Jul 1975 at Florida at age 61.
She was a Nurse. Received her nursing degree at the age of 52 from Beth Israel. She once tore down the walls of her house so her husband would do the remodeling she had wanted in Pinehurst, MA.
Children of Florence Elizabeth³ Upshall and George Wyman Ellis are as follows:

i. JOAN ELIZABETH⁴ was born on 15 Jan 1934. She married Richard Martin Butler, son of Edward Henry Butler and Estelle Laura LeFevre, on 16 Aug 1952 at Sharon, MA.
She was a Housewife/Mother.

ii. ELAINE MARION was born on 4 Apr 1935 at Boston Lying-In Hospital. She married Ernest Porter on 2 Sep 1954 at China, Maine. She and Ernest Porter were divorced in 1979.
She was a Electronic Technician.

5. KATHLEEN PEARL³ UPSHALL (Frederick², Henry¹) was born circa 1916 at Massachusetts. She married Allen Wells.
She was also known as Pearl.
